Sorry for the English but my Portuguese is terrible.
I have seen these guys several times in my garden in Pinheira, Palhoca, SC and the one in the photograph was a victim of the swimming pool!
I think that it is Rose Beetle Rutela lineola (Scarabaeidae: Rutelinae: Rutelini) but not too sure. The abdomen markings are incredible.

I went back 2 years of the Coleoptera posts without seeing anything similar to it apart from one with very different markings on the head, thorax and elytra.

You nailed the species, R. lineola, also classified in the family Melolonthidae, depending on who you ask. This is a highly variable species, this is why you may have found it difficult to find a perfect match. Our last sighting was three years ago.
